GE Financial Fills Key Slot in Growing Intermediary Sales Organization; Adam Rochlin Appointed National Sales Manager for Retirement Services Group

May 30, 2003

GE Financial Fills Key Slot in Growing Intermediary Sales Organization; Adam Rochlin Appointed National Sales Manager for Retirement Services Group RICHMOND, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 30, 2003--In a move to bolster its retirement services platform, GE Financial today announced the appointment of Adam Rochlin as National Sales Manager for the organization's Retirement Services Group.

Rochlin will be charged with maintaining and driving sales for the group, a key component of GE Financial's growth strategy. Specifically, he will be responsible for annuity and mutual fund sales within RSG's national and regional wirehouses and independent broker-dealer channel customers.

This is an important move for the Retirement Services Group as the business looks to capitalize on the rapidly growing market for retirement income planning products and services. Broad demographic trends and market realities have underscored the need for Americans to build the right balance of investment, income and protection products into a retirement income plan, and the GE Financial companies are leading the way in meeting this need. Last year, GE Life and Annuity Assurance Company launched GE Retirement Answer(SM), an innovative variable annuity designed for consumers focused on blending elements of guaranteed income and upside market potential.

This idea illustrates GE Financial's overall commitment to help meet the retirement planning needs of Americans and the advisors who serve them.

Rochlin will report directly to Frank Gencarelli, Executive Vice President and leader of the Retirement Services Group, GE Financial. Adam brings a broad range of experience to this new role. I look forward to working with him as we look to grow this new market among our corporate retail distributors and their clients and customers, said Gencarelli.

For the past two years, Rochlin has been President, Capital Brokerage Corporation, GE Brokerage Services, which are components of GE Financial. While there, he was a key player in the growth of the Independent Accountants Network platform, a GE Financial acquisition in 1998. Rochlin joined GE Financial in 1998 as a Vice President with GE Asset Management. There, he worked in product development and marketing of GE Mutual Funds and other variable investment products.
