GE Gives Two Finance Executives New Roles

FAIRFIELD, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 23, 2002--General Electric has announced the appointment of seven new company officers.
Anne Abaya, 50, is Senior Vice President, Human Resources for GE Consumer Finance. Abaya joined GE in 1980, graduating from GE's Human Resources Development Program. She has spent her 22-year tenure in various HR management roles at GE Corporate, GE Power Systems, GE Global Research, GE Capital, GE Lighting and GE Aerospace. She holds a BA in Sociology from University of Hawaii and an MA in Human Resources Management from Pepperdine University.
Charles Crabtree, 48, is Senior Vice President and Chief Operations Officer for GE Consumer Finance, serving in this role since 1995. In his 28 years at GE, he has held several operation leadership roles including International Operations and served as Vice President, GE Monogram Bank. He is a 1977 graduate of RETS Technical Institute with a degree in Electronics.
As announced earlier today, Mark Krakowiak, 41, is Vice President, Corporate Risk and Financing, GE Corporate Finance. He will assume this new position in January 2003. Krakowiak joined GE in 1983, and is a graduate of GE's Financial Management Program. During his 19 years at GE he has held a variety of financial planning and analysis leadership roles at GE Corporate, GE Aircraft Engines, NBC, and GE Plastics. He holds a BA in Business Information Systems from University of Cincinnati and an MBA in Business Administration from Bellarmine College.
Gary Pritchard, 46, is Vice President, Global Manufacturing at GE Plastics, serving in the role since November 2002. During his 22-year tenure, Pritchard has held a multitude of manufacturing leadership roles in chemical operations, plant management, and environmental health and safety at GE Plastics and GE Specialty Materials. He received his BS in Chemical Engineering from University of Massachusetts.
Joseph Ruocco, 43, has been recently announced as Vice President, Human Resources, GE Industrial Systems. Ruocco joined GE in 1985, graduating from GE's Human Resources Development Program. He has held various HR leadership positions at GE Aircraft Engines, GE Medical Systems, GE Plastics, GE Corporate and GE Lighting. He holds a BS in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University and a MBA from Syracuse University.
Alfred Stanley, 39, is Vice President, Global Operations, Employers Reinsurance Corporation. He assumed this role in January 2001. Since joining GE in 1997, he has held various leadership roles including Six Sigma Leader at GE Lighting and President of GE Mexico. He graduated with a BSc in Metallurgical Engineering from Queen's University, Ontario and an MBA from Harvard University.
MaryRose Sylvester, 37, is President of GE Quartz, Inc., GE Specialty Materials. She has been in this role since May 2002. Sylvester joined GE in 1987, holding managerial positions in worldwide sourcing and global HID operations at GE Lighting. She graduated from Bowling Green State University with a BS in Procurement and Production Management and has an MBA in Marketing from Cleveland State University.
