GE Power Systems Enhances Its D25 Multifunction IED for Substation Control

ATLANTA, GEORGIA (May 21, 2003) --- GE Power Systems has announced that its Substation Automation Solutions business has enhanced its existing D25 multifunction intelligent electronic device (IED) for substation control by adding several new features that increase the flexibility of the appliance, improve performance and ultimately reduce lifetime ownership costs for the end user. The enhanced IED product, the D25 generation 4, is available immediately.
"The D25 has been a highly competitive product in the marketplace for some time," stated Carolyn Shockley, general manager for the Substation Automation Solutions business, based in Atlanta. "With the addition of the new features, we expect the product will continue to be one of the leading multifunction IEDs in the industry and an excellent choice for those customers looking for the full range of substation control this product offers."
The D25 combines several new features that are now available in a single substation controller.
