Wells Cargo Signs Multi-Year Contract With GE Consumer Finance; Wells Cargo Dealers to Offer Consumer Financing Program

DAYTON, Ohio--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 3, 2005--GE Consumer Finance, the consumer lending unit of General Electric Company (NYSE: GE) and one of the world's leading consumer lenders, has signed a multi-year contract with cargo trailer manufacturer Wells Cargo to provide a new customer financing program.

The program will provide consumer installment lending and a range of other consumer payment programs to their nationwide dealer network. Offering competitive terms and promotional financing, the new option gives customers greater purchasing power and payment flexibility. The application process is fast and easy, and dealers and consumers will enjoy industry-leading support from Retail Sales Finance, part of GE Consumer Finance.

Wells Cargo, founded in 1954, is the oldest cargo trailer manufacturer. The company has six manufacturing plants throughout the United States and more than 700 employees. Models range in size from 4' x 6' through 8'6" x 53', all built from steel frames, aluminum exteriors and plywood interiors. Wells Cargo trailers are known for their durability through 200 models utilized for industrial, commercial, and recreational applications.
